Every project must answer this fundamental question: how are we making a positive contribution to a better future? This principle guides our decisions and is reflected in our actions: we challenge the existing model, we put forward new ideas and we innovate to maximise environmental and social benefits.
A commitment to a managed and a measured impact
We firmly believe that engineering is not merely about solving technical problems. It must address essential needs, guide decision-making and make a positive contribution to local communities, resources and ecosystems.
Each project is assessed in terms of the United Nations Sustainable Development Objectives and our own utility matrix.
This analysis is based on 4 criteria:

Our CSR approach
It is based on three key pillars:
Contributing to the conservation of resources and the protection of the environment, by prioritising projects with a positive impact and systematically assessing the benefits of our work.
Enabling everyone to find their place, feel useful and fulfil their potential, thanks to a demanding HR policy focused on training, diversity, health and safety, and quality of work life.
Generate sustainable and shared value for all our stakeholders, relying on a strong employee share ownership scheme, rigorous business ethics and active societal commitment.
Philanthropy, another way of being useful
Supporting, sharing, raising awareness: beyond our core business, we support initiatives that contribute to a more sustainable and enlightened future. Each year, up to 8 % of our net profit is allocated to philanthropic initiatives, primarily in the form of skills-based sponsorship. Led and proposed by our employees, these initiatives are a concrete expression of our commitment to putting our expertise towards the common good and the benefit of future generations.
Among our actions:
Raising environmental awareness among young people
Because the transition begins at a very young age, our employees visit schools and lead educational activities designed for children. These fun workshops help children understand the links between resources, biodiversity, energy and climate, whilst developing their critical thinking skills and a desire to take action.
Encouraging scientific careers with Elles bougent
We are working alongside the charity Elles bougent to promote scientific and technical careers amongst young girls. Through personal experiences, networking events and mentoring schemes, we help young people discover the diversity of careers in engineering and encourage more women to consider a future in the field.
The setec foundation, an extension of our commitment
Established in 2020 and operating under the umbrella of the Fondation de France, the setec Foundation supports projects of public interest that make a tangible contribution to the ecological and societal transition.
It supports initiatives aimed at fighting climate change, preserving biodiversity and protecting marine environments, whilst placing social issues at the heart of their activities. Because a sustainable transition cannot be separated from solidarity, the Foundation also works to tackle various forms of vulnerability and exclusion.
Supported by setec Énergie Environnement, it enables our employees to commit to projects that combine environmental benefits with social impact.
