SYCTOM, in partnership with SIAAP

2017 – 2027

France

In order to explore new solutions for recovering sewage sludge and organic waste, the SYCTOM and the SIAAP launched an innovation partnership aimed at identifying, testing and deploying innovative renewable energy treatment and production technologies.

Following an initial research and development phase involving four industrial consortia, two projects have been selected for the design and construction of pilot units.

The setec énergie environnement / setec hydratec group has been supporting project owners since the launch of the operation in order to secure the technical, regulatory and contractual choices associated with this innovative approach.

The setec énergie environnement joint venture / Setec Hydratec provides project management assistance services including:

  • Assistance with the award of innovation partnership contracts; ;
  • Analysis and evaluation of technical bids and research and development programmes; ;
  • Evaluation and validation of test reports and preliminary design studies for pilot units; ;
  • Technical assessment of the proposed solutions and validation of the design studies; ;
  • Support for monitoring the implementation of the pilot units; ;
  • Regulatory and administrative assistance with state authorities; ;
  • Contractual engineering advice in the context of an innovation partnership procedure; ;
  • Support for decision-making throughout the various phases of the project.
Challenge

Drive an innovation partnership approach involving multiple competing technologies and industrial players with differing approaches, secure investment choices and prepare for their industrial deployment.
