SITTOM-MI

2022 – 2028

Pontivy, FRANCE

The SITTOM-MI (Syndicat Intercommunal de Transfert et de Traitement des Ordures Ménagères du Morbihan Intérieur) wishes to ensure the sustainability of its energy recovery unit while increasing its processing capacity, in order to achieve complete autonomy in the management of the territory’s waste. The group, led by setec énergie environnement, brings together Local Financial Partners, Seban & Associés, the financial advisory firm Ecko Conseil, and the insurance expert AFC Consultants.

The group is tasked with assisting the trade union in the structuring, selection, financing and implementation of a major industrial project integrating innovative solutions, notably the capture and commercialization of CO₂.

As a Technical, Administrative and Communication Assistant to the Project Manager (AMO), we assist our client in the following tasks:

  • Preliminary studies: development of various technical scenarios, followed by the selection of a global scenario that led to a global performance market;
  • Study of the project’s funding capacity;
  • Land monitoring;
  • Launch and follow-up of the Global Public Performance Market (MGPG);
  • Drafting of the DDAE and conduct of the pre-concertation;
  • Support for financing: obtaining loans and subsidies;
  • Project follow-up after award: commercialization of captured CO₂, industrial heat, outsourcing of the handling of the waste, follow-up of studies and construction.
Challenge

Finding new carbon capture companies is one of the challenges of this project, which will represent a first in terms of capturing CO₂ from a landfill. We have held discussions with various potential new companies to secure this chain and contract the sale of this CO₂.
