Caribéenne de Valorisation

2026

Les Abymes, Guadeloupe

La Caribéenne de Valorisation, in support of SYVADE, the Guadeloupe Waste Recovery Authority, is pursuing an ambitious project: the creation of a new RDF preparation plant in Les Abymes, capable of processing 130,000 tonnes per year of waste feedstock and producing 70,000 tonnes per year of Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF).

To support this transformation, setec énergie environnement has been commissioned to prepare the project’s Environmental Authorisation Application (DDAE) and provide comprehensive regulatory support. The areas of expertise we are drawing upon are as follows:

  • Impact assessments: to examine the project’s effects on traffic, water, energy, health, the landscape, the climate, etc.
  • Hazard assessment: to ensure that the risks of accidents are managed and do not affect local communities.
  • Co-ordination of specialist assessments: flora and fauna, acoustics, odours, lightning.

A key project aimed at bringing about a sustainable transformation of waste management, strengthening local autonomy and building a more resilient and environmentally friendly region.
