Context
As part of the competitive bidding procedure for the award of a wind farm in the sea in the AO7 Atlantic South area, The State has committed itself to establishing a current state of the environment intended to characterize the environmental conditions of the site before its development.
setec énergie environnement is tasked with conducting this environmental baseline across all biological and physical compartments of the marine environment. The mission covers marine habitats, benthic communities, plankton, fisheries resources, mollusks, crustaceans, the marine megafauna, the avifauna and the chiropters, as well as several physical parameters such as water quality, underwater and aerial noise and landscape issues.
The acquired data contribute to enlightening future candidates and ensuring the design of the project as well as the assessment of its environmental impacts.

DETAILED MISSIONS
The mission consists of conducting, in addition to an initial bibliographic review, the necessary field studies for all the compartments studied over a period of 1 to 2 years:
- For water quality: measurements and water sampling (1/month);
- For underwater noise: passive listening with hydrophones and C-PODS (continuous);
- For airborne noise: passive listening (2/year);
- For marine habitats and benthic communities: sampling by bucket (2/year), videos and photos by ROV (1/year);
- For plankton: measurements and sampling (1/month);
- For halieutic populations: scientific fishing (1/season);
- For the avifauna and the marine megafauna: expertises by boat and by plane, with observers (1/month);
- For chiropterans: passive listening on land and in the water (continuous from April to October);
- For the landscape: description and identification of the issues.
