Modernising the ADAOZ sorting centre in Caudan for Lorient Agglomération

Context

Lorient Agglomération operates a household waste sorting centre located at the ADAOZ site in Caudan, which came into operation in 2003 and was renovated in 2015. This facility currently handles waste from the Lorient Agglomération area and the Blavet Bellevue Océan community of communes, representing a population of approximately 224,000.

The expansion of the collection area, with the potential inclusion of waste from the Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique region – representing nearly 86,000 additional residents – results in a significant increase in the volume of waste to be processed, exacerbated by strong seasonal demand during the summer.

To meet these challenges, Lorient Agglomération has launched a project to modernise the sorting centre in order to adapt the facility to these new requirements in terms of capacity, performance and sorting quality.

DETAILED MISSIONS

setec énergie environnement is involved in all aspects of design & construction supervision and coordination for projects, adopting an integrated approach that covers technical, regulatory and operational aspects:

• General coordination of the project;
• Document management;
• Preparation of the ICPE application file;
• Design studies for the fire package;
• Monitoring of design work in PRO and EXE phases;
• Production of the 3D model synthesis;
• Scheduling, management and coordination (OPC) of the construction site;
• Organisation of expert visits throughout the construction work;
• Checking of As-Built Records (DOE);
• Reception Operations Assistance (ROA) – buildings, utility services, electricity, fire safety and process;
• Carrying out performance tests.

The traceability of construction waste is ensured by our subsidiary Revoco by Setec.
