ORANGE

2025 – 2026

Martinique, FRANCE

As part of the development of its telecommunications infrastructure, ORANGE plans to install the CELIA submarine cable landing in Lamentin, Martinique.

To accompany this project, setec énergie environnement has been mandated to conduct the necessary ecological studies, prepare the associated regulatory procedures, and ensure dialogue with the relevant authorities. This approach aims to ensure the obtaining of permits while integrating the preservation of marine and coastal ecosystems.

The missions carried out by setec énergie environnement are as follows:

  • Drafting of the regulatory dossiers for environmental authorization under the Water Act and concession for the use of the Maritime Public Domain (DPM);
  • Conducting an ecological study by diving to assess the situation along the proposed route;
  • Identification of environmental issues and definition of appropriate conservation measures to avoid damaging coastal and marine habitats and species such as herrings and corals;
  • Coordination and technical exchanges with state services and the competent authorities (DGTM, Maritime Prefecture, DEAL and OFB)
