Context
The EMYN project company was created for the implementation of the Offshore wind farm of Yeu-Noirmoutier, This park, which was the first to be tendered for wind energy in France, has 61 wind turbines installed on foundations dug by the company DEME.
As part of this project, EMYN commissioned setec énergie environnement to define and implement a monitoring system for the turbidity of marine waters throughout the entire construction phase, which will last 2.5 years, in accordance with the requirements of the authorization decree.

DETAILED MISSIONS
Setec énergie environnement established a monitoring protocol with alert thresholds, validated by the Scientific Interest Group before the start of the work. This protocol was based on the deployment of 3 autonomous buoys designed to ensure continuous and real-time monitoring of turbidity. This device remained in place for more than 3 years (1 year of baseline status and 2.5 years of work).
The web platform Proxymae, developed by setec énergie environnement, has been configured to generate automatic alerts in the event of exceeding turbidity thresholds. In parallel with this automated monitoring, specific «specific» measurements campaigns have been carried out at the heart of the work, using techniques such as aerial drones, ADCP, water sampling and multi-parameter probe profiles.
Throughout the entire period, setec énergie environnement assisted the client in all environmental issues related to the turbidity generated by the construction site, in response to requests from the state authorities. Numerous periodic study reports, as well as a final summary, were produced as part of this follow-up.
