SYCTOM

2022 – 2025

Issy-les-Moulineaux, FRANCE

The SYCTOM, a public service for the treatment and valorization of household waste from 82 communes in the Ile-de-France region, wishes to improve the energy performance of the UVE de Isséane by valorizing the thermal energy contained in the fumes. The objective is to lower their temperature to 140°C at the exit of the chimney, a threshold that prevents any condensation. This reduction is achieved through the installation of a heat exchanger positioned downstream of the catalyst. The recovered energy is injected into the water return circuit, thus limiting the use of steam. Medium Pressure required to maintain the food tarp at the desired temperature. Two lines are involved, each receiving a dedicated heat exchanger.

Setec énergie environnement had already carried out feasibility and opportunity studies, confirming the technical and economic viability of the project.

SYCTOM entrusted us with the complete Master Plan (MOE) for this project:

  • Project studies (EPRO) and final design;
  • Development of the dossiers for consultation of companies (DCE) in accordance with the SYCTOM formalities;
  • Assistance in the awarding of works contracts (ACT);
  • Study execution visa (VISA);
  • Follow-up of the construction work (STR) until the removal of the reservations.
Challenge

Special emphasis was placed on the coating of the smoke collectors, which must be able to operate dry without pressurized water; extensive discussions with suppliers were held to ensure the coating and its durability against corrosive smoke.
